Translation

Growing up speaking Japanese and French at home, I’ve always had a natural ability to switch between languages. My Master’s degree in Japanese language & culture allowed me to sharpen my knowledge of Japanese language and practice literary translation. During my work for Japanese companies in London, which included the Asahi Shimbun (newspaper), JICA (international cooperation) and Kataoka & Co. (luxury food), I had the opportunity to learn how to communicate and translate efficiently between the headquarters in Japan and European partners in a fast-paced environment. These experiences taught me the importance of ensuring the content is well understood before communicating to someone who’s from a different language and working culture.

I am no a certified translator so if you need a certified, official or legal translation, I am not the right person. What I am is a generalist translator, meaning I can translate general content, including business emails, articles, press kits, tourism brochures, website content etc.
