The face of today’s translation market has drastically changed over the past few years. A plethora of computer-assisted tools accelerated the pace of translation and sometimes one can wonder how relevant it still is for human beings to continue translating at all!
My view is that those tools can help us translate more efficiently (I do use Trados in my work), but only in some contexts. Artificial Intelligence can’t catch all the nuances and subtleties that we can find between words yet.
So if you have a text in Japanese or French that has already been translated, by a human or a robot, and you need someone to proofread it carefully, I am the right person!
