About me

Hi there, I am a Swiss/Japanese professional with solid experience in cross-cultural communication, translation and research.

Growing up speaking French and Japanese at home, I have always felt more comfortable standing between different languages, cultures and ways of thinking, rather than just going one way. These multicultural and eclectic aspirations took me from Geneva, where I studied Japanese language and civilisation, to the southern most Japanese island of Okinawa, where I encountered the most unique traditional culture!

My professional years really started in London, where I had the opportunity to join well known Japanese companies and institutions, like JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency), the Asahi Shimbun (newspaper agency), as well as Kataoka & Co. (luxury food import). In between, my curiosity also led me to join a music intelligence software company and do some freelance work for a market research company, which awakened my interest in working with data.

Japanesefrench.net is my professional business platform, but when I am not working on this, I love to spend time living my passion, music! As a composer and performer, I have been creating music and collaborating for a variety of artistic projects.
